Punta Cana remains one of my favorite vacation spots, and after seeing photos of Janelle Monae's recent trip to the Dominican Republic I'm itching to go back more than ever.
Booking.com, the same site I used to book my Punta Cana vacation two years ago, offered the singer and actress the chance to relax at a luxury villa in the island city with friends after the busy year she had starring in two of the biggest films of 2016, "Hidden Figures" and "Moonlight." And from the photos of her stay, it looks like the escape was exactly what she needed.
The private housing, named Villa Sirena, sleeps up to 14 people and costs a pretty penny -- we're talking $20,000 per week-- but it comes with all the amenities you'd expect at that price tag: a butler, chef, a Zen outdoor patio overlooking an L-shaped pool and Jacuzzi, beautiful architecture, and it's surrounded by palm trees to give you the feel of being on your own private island.
