Solange's album, A Seat at the Table, has inspired many discussions among Black women on the Internet, and now Solange, Melissa Harris-Perry, students at Wake Forest University, and other scholars want to move that conversation to the classroom.
In a notice on Saint Heron.com, it's been announced that a Solange-inspired syllabus is in the works and women like you are being sought as contributors.

Women between the ages of 16-30 are now being asked to share their stories using texts, music, and visual art that speak to their personal experiences. These submissions will contribute to a Solange inspired syllabus. Solange’s album uncovers many truths and speaks freely on issues that directly affect women of color and it is time for all of us to join in on the conversation.

Themes the team would like submissions to explore include:

Resisting Racism

Understanding Gender and Sexuality

The Role of Relationships

Nurturing Ourselves

A Seat at the Lunch Table

Submissions are being accepted in a variety of forms, from text to music/audio, art, video, and other creative mediums, until January 31. For more info, visit seatsyllabus.com.
