Learning the terminology
You have to learn almost as much about diabetes as your diabetic partner knows. You have learn, for example, that hyperglycemia=high blood sugar, and hypoglycemia=low blood sugar. When your partner has high blood sugar, he needs insulin, and when he has low blow sugar, he needs sugar.
